As of 28 October 2026

1. Controller

Niederösterreichischer Versehrtensportverband (NÖVSV), registration number ZVR 970697913, Haus des Sports / Olympiazentrum, Dr.-Adolf-Schärf-Straße 25a, 3100 St. Pölten, Austria.

Email: office@noevsv.at; telephone: +43 2951 8380.

2. Hosting, server logs and Webalizer statistics

This website is hosted by Hofer Media GmbH & Co KG, Im Stadtfeld 3, 2070 Retz, Austria. The Niederösterreichischer Versehrtensportverband remains the controller responsible for its content and data-processing decisions. Where Hofer Media processes personal data on behalf of the association, the processing is governed by an agreement under Article 28 GDPR.

When pages are requested, the server processes technically necessary connection data, including IP address, date and time, requested file, HTTP status, browser and operating-system information and, where applicable, the referrer. According to the association, standard access and error logs are retained for 14 days. Longer retention may be necessary for specific security incidents.

Hofer Media provides server-side website statistics using Webalizer. These statistics are generated from existing server accesses; the website does not include an additional tracking script or set a separate Webalizer cookie. Whether IP addresses are truncated or anonymised in the statistics depends on the hosting configuration and is not asserted here without verification.

The legal basis for technically necessary server logs and proportionate analysis of existing log data is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable website operation). Webalizer does not itself additionally access data stored on visitors’ devices and generally requires no separate cookie consent under Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021.

Server location, subprocessors and contractual data-protection arrangements are governed by the hosting agreement with Hofer Media. The 14-day retention period and use of Webalizer were provided by the association for this hosting arrangement.

3. Contact

When you contact us by email or telephone, we process the contact details and message you supply to respond and follow up. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual matters and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for statutory retention obligations.

We keep these details only as long as required for the purpose or legally mandatory retention. Email service providers may process messages as part of providing their services.

4. Consent settings and language preference

For optional external services, the website stores your choices, their version and the time of selection in your browser’s local storage under noevsv_privacy_v3. Valid settings are retained for at most 180 days unless deleted sooner. This storage is necessary to implement your privacy choices.

You may separately consent to “External video and maps” and “External fonts and icons”. Consent is voluntary and is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where device access is involved, Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021. You can revise or withdraw consent via . Withdrawal is effective for the future; active embeds are stopped after a page reload.

Server-side access statistics, if enabled in the hosting settings, are separate from optional services accessing your device. The website does not set additional analytics cookies for analysis of existing server logs. The former Google Tag Manager container GTM-P3N89LZ is not executed in this version.

The website offers German and English. On an initial visit, the browser’s language settings, including any stated region, may be used to suggest a language version. We do not use IP-based geolocation or contact a third-party geolocation provider for this purpose. When you select a language manually, your choice is stored locally in your browser under noevsv_language_v5 so it takes priority on subsequent visits. This selection is not transmitted to a third-party language service. You can change it at any time by selecting DE or EN in the navigation.

5. YouTube and Google Maps

The website embeds YouTube videos and a Google Maps map provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Initially, local placeholders are displayed. Following consent, the selected sport video loads when its dialog opens and other consented embeds load when they become visible. Alternatively, a single video or map can be enabled by directly selecting its load button without granting general ongoing consent.

Loading a third-party embed means your browser transmits personal and technical data, including the IP address, browser information and requested content, directly to Google. Google may use cookies or comparable technologies for its own purposes. Most videos use the YouTube privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com, but this does not entirely prevent data transfers; some legacy videos use youtube.com.

The legal basis for optional activation is consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act. The rest of this website can be used without video or map activation. Further information is available in Google’s privacy policy.

6. External design resources and outbound links

Only with consent to “External fonts and icons” do we load optional Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited) and the Font Awesome kit (Fonticons, Inc., USA). In doing so the browser transmits connection data including the IP address. Without consent, local styling and system fonts are used. The legal basis is consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act where relevant. Core CSS and JavaScript are supplied from this website.

Links to social networks, YouTube, partner organisations or other third-party websites are only opened when you select them. Those sites have their own privacy notices.

7. International transfers

Optional third-party services may involve transfers of personal data outside the EEA, especially to the United States. Transfers may rely on an applicable adequacy decision and valid certification or on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and, where required, supplementary measures. The precise basis must be verified against the actual provider arrangements. Consent to loading an embed does not replace the separate assessment required for international transfers.

8. Photographs and association information

We publish information about the association and para sport. Identifiable people are depicted only where an appropriate legal basis applies. Where special categories of personal data may be involved, especially information revealing a person’s health, Art. 9 GDPR must also be considered. Please contact us using the details above regarding publication of your personal data.

9. Recipients and service providers

Personal data may be transferred to technical providers, notably hosting and email providers, as necessary to operate this website and handle enquiries. Processor contracts under Art. 28 GDPR are entered into where required. The website as described does not disclose data for the NÖVSV’s own advertising purposes.

10. Membership fee payments

This website provides the association’s bank details for transfers. It does not process online payments, collect payment details via a form or initiate transfers. Banks involved in any transfer you make independently process the transaction data under applicable rules. The association’s bookkeeping is managed separately from this website.

11. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may exercise rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3)). The rules concerning automated decisions in Art. 22 also apply where relevant.

Contact office@noevsv.at to exercise your rights. You may complain to a supervisory authority, in particular the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna.

12. Updates

We revise this policy when the website or related processing changes.
